Generate Images with Prompts: A Beginner Guide

A zero-to-one tutorial: copy a prompt → open an AI tool → paste and generate an image, with a FAQ for common questions.

Step 1: Pick and copy a prompt

Open the Image Prompt Gallery and browse the cards with real sample images. Found one you like? Hit the “Copy prompt” button on the card and the prompt goes straight to your clipboard.

The prompts are in English? No worries — AI image models understand English best. You don’t need to read every word; just copy and paste.

Step 2: Open an AI tool and paste

Open an AI tool ↗ (create a free account if you don’t have one), paste (Ctrl+V / long-press to paste) the prompt into the chat box, and send.

Want to tweak the image? Edit the English words directly: change silver hair to black hair, for example, and the result changes with it.

You can also paste the prompt into other image tools, but styles vary between them.

Step 3: Wait, then keep adjusting

Generation takes 10–60 seconds. Not happy with something? Just tell it in your own words, for example:

  • “Change the background to a city street at night”
  • “Make the lighting softer”
  • “Change the expression to a smile”
  • “Redraw it with a different composition”

Keep adjusting until you’re happy — that’s the fun of prompt-based image generation.

FAQ

Does it cost money? Most AI tools give free accounts a certain number of image generations — enough for everyday use. Consider a paid plan if you generate at volume or need commercial rights. The prompts on this site are completely free.

Why doesn’t my image match the sample exactly? AI image generation is random each time — the same prompt never produces two identical images. Composition, style, and color stay close; details (faces, decorations) differ. Generate a few times and keep the best.

Can I use the images commercially? It depends on the user agreement of the tool you use — check that platform’s terms. Confirm the licensing scope before commercial use.
